The Sulphur Crested Cockatoo is a very large bird which needs to live in extremely large trees.

It requires a lot of food and when it sits down to a tea-party with other, smaller, birds a very loud noise can be heard (from the other birds).

When it walks upon the roof it sounds as though the roof will collapse at any minute. It must be very heavy.

An adult bird has a wing span which is probably just less than a metre across and it is very beautiful, in flight, as it is a pure white colour with a bright yellow crest.
